Peanut Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 1/4 c. Karo syrup (light)
    1 1/2 c. water
    3 c. raw peanuts
    1 1/2 c. thick sweet cream or condensed milk
Preparation
    In heavy saucepan, combine sugar, syrup and water.
    Bring to a boil over medium flame.
    Add peanuts.
    Continue cooking until a little mixture becomes brittle when dropped in cold water.
    Remove from heat and stir until boiling stops.
    Add cream and beat until thick.
    A few drops of red coloring will make it prettier.
    Drop into patties on greased cookie sheet or pour into cookie sheet and cut into squares.
