Kosher Dill Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    small cucumbers
    2 1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. plain salt
    3 tsp. dill seed per qt.
    1 clove garlic per qt.
    1 slice onion per qt.
    2 1/4 qt. water
    1 red hot pepper per qt.
Preparation
    Place small cucumbers in quart jars.
    Add garlic, onion, hot red pepper and dill seed.
    Set aside while you bring to boil the vinegar, water and salt.
    Pour over cucumbers and seal.
    Let set 3 weeks before using.
    Makes approximately 7 quarts.
