Acorn Squash Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 acorn and 1 or 2 butternut squash
    1 c. water
    1 small can evaporated milk
    3 to 4 c. milk
    1 1/2 sticks margarine or butter
    nutmeg, allspice and cinnamon
    salt and pepper
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. oil, bacon fat or butter
Preparation
    Melt oil or fat in heavy skillet.
    Add flour; stir constantly over low heat until dark brown, but not burned.
    To this roux, add seasonings, stock to make sauces, gravies, gumbo or whatever.
