Hot Turnip Slaw - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 lb. turnips
1 c. water
1 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
3/4 lb. bacon
2 eggs
Preparation

Peel turnips and slice.
Cook in boiling water until tender; drain.
Fry bacon until crispy, then break in small pieces.
Leave about 2 tablespoons of drippings in pan.
