Date Roll Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 1/2 c. chopped dates
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Combine sugar, butter and salt; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves. When mixture comes to a boil, add the dates and continue cooking, stirring constantly until mixture reaches soft ball stage (234\u00b0). Pour into bowl and cool until lukewarm. Beat until thick and creamy, then add nuts. Pour onto a wet cloth.
Shape into a roll and wrap in a damp cloth. Chill in refrigerator until firm enough to slice.
