Mexicali Spoon Bread Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 green pepper, chopped
    1 large can tomato sauce
    2 to 3 tsp. chili powder
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 c. milk
    3/4 c. grated Cheddar
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    1 large can whole kernel corn
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sliced ripe olives
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    2 eggs, beaten
Preparation
    Brown ground beef, onion, green pepper and garlic in 10-inch skillet; drain.
    Stir in tomato sauce, corn with liquid, chili powder, salt, pepper and olives.
    Heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat. Mix milk, cornmeal and salt in saucepan.
    Heat just to boiling over medium, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat, stir in eggs and cheese.
    Pour beef mixture in 13 x 9 x 2-inch casserole dish.
    Pour cornmeal mixture over top.
    Bake at 375\u00b0, uncovered, until knife inserted in topping comes out clean, about 40 minutes.
    Garnish with diced green onions and tomatoes.
