Watermelon Rind Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 c. watermelon rind
    5 c. sugar
    1 lemon, peeled and sliced
    2 sticks cinnamon
    10 whole cloves
Preparation
    Peel and cut watermelon rind into cubes.
    Cover with sugar and let stand overnight.
    Cook about 3 hours.
    Pour into jars and seal.
