Raisin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. raisins
1 tsp. soda
1 c. boiling water
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped walnuts, pecans or both

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and flour.
Mix in raisins and then nuts. Bake in a loaf pan at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
