Coconut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. solid vegetable shortening
    2 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    2 c. plain flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 can flake coconut
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. coconut flavoring
Preparation
    Bring sugar and water to a boil and cook 1 minute. Add coconut flavoring. Brush over cake while still hot.
