Orange Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 1/3 c. buttermilk
    4 c. flour
    2 tsp. grated orange rind
    1 1/2 or 2 c. chopped dates
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 16 oz. pkg. orange candy slices (chopped)
Preparation
    Cream together butter or crisco and sugar.
    Add eggs one at a time.
    Add all other ingredients and mix well.
    Line tube pan with waxed paper.
    Pour batter into pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour. Reduce heat to 325\u00b0 and continue to bake for 45 minutes more.
