Squash Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. chopped yellow squash
    2 c. chopped sweet onions
    1 c. chopped sweet peppers
    1 Tbsp. uniodized salt
    3 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    2 c. vinegar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1/4 tsp. mace
    1/4 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Combine chopped vegetables with salt.
    Let stand for 2 hours. Drain well.
    Combine sugar and remaining ingredients.
    Heat to boiling.
    Add drained vegetables and bring back to boiling point. Pack in hot, sterilized jars and seal.
