Golden Refresher Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    1 tsp. ground cloves or 2 Tbsp. whole cloves
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon or 2 cinnamon sticks
    2 c. orange juice
    3/4 c. lemon concentrate
    2 (12 oz.) carbonated lemon drink or 2 (12 oz.) bottles ginger ale or 24 oz. prepared lemonade
    1 pt. orange sherbet
Preparation
    Combine water, cloves and cinnamon in a medium size saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer 10 minutes.
    Refrigerate until very cold.
    Combine this syrup with all the other ingredients except sherbet.
