Beet Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    syrup
    2 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Wash beets. Cut most of top off.
    Boil until done (stick with fork).
    Drain water.
    Cool.
    Then peel skin.
    Cut up however desired. Bring syrup to a boil.
    Drop beets into syrup.
    Simmer 5 minutes. Pack into jars and seal.
