Italian Creme Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick oleo
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    5 egg whites
    5 egg yolks
    2 c. cake flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar and shortening.
    Add egg yolks and then add other ingredients alternately.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Makes 3 layers.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until done.
