Raisin Drop Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. raisins
1 c. water
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
2 well-beaten eggs
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. flour
Preparation

Boil raisins and water until you have 1/2 cup of juice.
Drain and cool.
Cream together the sugars and shortening.
Add eggs. Dissolve soda in cooled raisin juice.
Sift flour and spices together; add to creamed mixture alternately with raisin juice. Add vanilla.
Stir in raisins and nuts.
Drop from spoon onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
