Seafood Gumbo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 large onion
1 pod garlic
1/2 bell pepper, chopped
1/4 c. chopped parsley
2 lb. shrimp and or 1 lb. crab meat
2 bay leaves
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 qt. or more water
salt, pepper and Tabasco sauce to taste, also file
Preparation

Make a roux by browning 1/2 cup flour in 1/2 cup of well heated vegetable oil.
Lower heat and add water gradually.
Add onion, garlic, pepper and parsley then cook 30 minutes.
Add crabmeat.
This can be freshly cleaned crab or fresh or frozen. It is better to have claws and a few chunks of body meat in the gumbo.
