Butterscotch Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. nuts
Preparation
    Melt the butter and brown sugar together.
    Cool slightly;
    add egg
    and
    vanilla.
    Sift
    together the flour, baking powder
    and salt;
    stir
    into
    the butter mixture.
    Add nuts. Turn
    into
    a greased 9 x 9-inch baking pan and bake about 30 minutes in a moderate oven (350\u00b0).
