Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. Nabisco 100% bran
4 c. Kellogg's All-Bran
1 c. shortening
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 c. boiling water
2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
5 tsp. soda
1 qt. buttermilk
Preparation

Soak:
100% bran in water and cool.
Cream:
shortening, sugar and eggs.
Mix together:
flour, soda and salt and alternately with buttermilk.
Put in muffin tins.
Make indentation, put in raisins, dates, chunk pineapple or jelly (optional).
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 23 minutes.
Makes 60.
