Sweet And Sour Meatball Appetizers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    2 Tbsp. minced onion
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    2/3 c. Heinz chili sauce
    2/3 c. red currant or grape jelly
Preparation
    Form meat mixture into 40 meatballs using a rounded teaspoonful for each.
    Brown meatballs lightly in 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Cover and cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Drain excess fat.
    Combine the chili sauce and jelly.
    Pour over meatballs.
    Heat, stirring until jelly is melted. Simmer 10 to 12 minutes until sauce thickens; baste occasionally.
    Makes 40 appetizer meatballs.
