Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    5 egg whites
    2 c. sugar
    1 stick oleo
    1/2 c. Crisco
    5 egg yolks
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 small can Angel Flake coconut
Preparation
    Mix buttermilk and soda; set aside.
    Beat egg whites until stiff; set aside.
    Cream sugar, oleo, Crisco and egg yolks; beat well.
    Add flour alternately with buttermilk, beating well.
    Add vanilla.
    Fold in beaten egg whites, pecans and coconut.
    Bake in 8 x 8-inch pans at 325\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
