Dixie Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. chopped cabbage
    1 pt. sweet red peppers
    1 Tbsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. celery seed, crushed
    1 qt. vinegar
    1 pt. white onions
    1 pt. sweet green peppers
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    3 1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Soak peppers 24 hours in 1 cup salt and 1 gallon of water. Freshen in fresh water for 1 or 2 hours.
    Drain and chop each separate (then measure).
    Mix all together.
    Add seasonings and let stand in a crock overnight.
    Drain off vinegar.
    Remove bubbles, seal and process.
