Old Fashioned Swedish Waffles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    2 c. wheat flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 egg yolks
    1/2 c. margarine, melted
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 c. milk
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. diced apple
    1/2 c. chopped cranberries (fresh or frozen)
Preparation
    Heat waffle iron.
    Beat egg whites until firm; let stand.
    Mix flour and baking powder.
    Add egg yolks, melted butter, vanilla and 2/3 of the milk; beat until smooth.
    Add remaining milk. Carefully add beaten egg whites to mixture just before baking. Bake to golden brown.
    Cool waffles on rack for crispness.
