Prawns Ala Manilena - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. prawns or tiger shrimp, jumbo shrimp
    2 to 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. oil
    4 stalks leaks (white part only), cut into 1 inch pieces
    1 c. tomato sauce
    1/2 c. carbonated lemon-lime beverage
    1/2 c. water
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    salt
Preparation
    Peel and clean prawns and cut in halves lengthwise.
    Roll in cornstarch to coat lightly.
    Heat oil in skillet or wok and fry over high heat.
    Fry prawns very quickly until crisp.
    Drain and set aside.
