Rio Grande Kidney Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans with liquid
    2 cloves chopped garlic
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    16 oz. can chicken broth
    2 bay leaves
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. dried basil
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Saute onion and garlic in oil.
    Add remaining ingredients and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    Remove bay leaves and puree.
