Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    1 large can crushed pineapple, partially drained
    2 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
    3 c. milk
    1 can cherry pie filling
    1 large Cool Whip
    6 bananas, sliced
Preparation
    Make cake per directions on box.
    Make 2 layers.
    Make pudding, using 3 cups milk.
    Add sliced bananas to pudding.
    In punch bowl, layer as follows:
    1 cake layer, crushed pineapple, pudding with bananas, other cake layer, pie filling and then Cool Whip.
    You may also add coconut to bananas and pudding.
    Also, you may put chopped nuts on top of Cool Whip, if desired.
