Banana Chocolate Chip Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter (room temperature)
    3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. mashed bananas (1 or 2)
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. wheat germ
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
    2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Beat butter, brown sugar and nutmeg together until creamy. Beat in bananas and vanilla.
    In separate bowl, stir together flour, wheat germ, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture, beating well.
    By hand, stir in chocolate chips and 1/2 of nuts.
    Spread mixture in a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Sprinkle with remaining nuts.
    Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon; spread over nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 18 to 20 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
    Makes about 3 dozen bars.
