Cinnamon Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 oz. lemon gelatin
    2 1/2 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. red hots
    2 c. unsweetened applesauce
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    dash of salt
    1/2 c. walnuts, broken
    6 oz. softened cream cheese
    1/4 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. salad dressing or mayonnaise
Preparation
    Stir gelatin, water and red hots until dissolved.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Pour into an 8 x 8-inch pan and chill until partially set.
    When partially set, add walnuts.
    In separate bowl, blend cream cheese, milk and mayonnaise.
    Swirl cheese mixture into gelatin to achieve a marbled appearance.
    Chill until firm.
