Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 c. sifted flour
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. milk
    1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
    Add eggs one at a time and beat well.
    Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and blend into batter alternately with milk and vanilla. Do not overmix.
    Pour into greased loaf pan and bake in oven 1 1/2 hours at 325\u00b0.
