Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 Tbsp. cocoa (heaping)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. Crisco shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
2 oz. red food coloring
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation

Sift flour, cocoa and salt together 3 times.
Cream shortening and sugar together.
Then add eggs and mix well.
Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Add red food coloring and vanilla.
Mix well.
Fold in soda dissolved in vinegar.
Beat well.
Pour into two greased and floured 9-inch layer cake pans. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
