Bread Custard Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. milk
    3 or 4 eggs
    1/2 to 2/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
    nutmeg
Preparation
    Grease an 8 x 8-inch or 9 x 9-inch pan with margarine.
    Cover bottom with bread crumbs.
    Heat milk.
    Beat eggs and add sugar, vanilla and salt.
    Add milk slowly, beating all of the time.
    Pour over bread crumbs.
    Add nutmeg on top.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 until set (40 to 50 minutes).
