Ingredients

1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 (16 oz.) can chocolate syrup
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs and beat well.
Add syrup and then flour, sifted with baking powder and salt.
Bake in 13 x 9-inch pan, which has been greased and floured, for 45 minutes at 350\u00b0.
The cake is very moist and can be served without being iced.
