Never Fail Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 unbeaten egg whites
    3 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except vanilla in top of double boiler.
    Use mixer to stir.
    Beat briskly for 3 minutes or until frosting is fluffy and holds its shape.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla.
    Yields enough for two 9-inch layer cakes.
