Cheese Grits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Quick (not instant) grits
    4 c. water
    8 Tbsp. butter or oleo
    1 c. grated cheddar cheese
    2 cloves minced garlic (optional)
    2 eggs, beaten
Preparation
    Stir grits into briskly boiling water.
    Reduce heat to simmer & cook for 3 - 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    When the mixture is quite thick, remove from heat and add oleo, cheese, and garlic. Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    When the oleo and cheese have melted and the mixture has cooled a bit, add the eggs.
    Mix well.
    Pour into a greased casserole dish and bake for about 30 minutes or until firm and golden brown.
