Barbecue Spareribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. spareribs
    1 onion, peeled and quartered
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper sauce
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. light brown sugar
    1/2 c. ketchup
    1/4 c. chili sauce
    1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
    2 Tbsp. chopped onions
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1/2 tsp. mustard
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    dash of cayenne pepper
Preparation
    In large kettle, place ribs, onion quarters, salt and pepper sauce in 3 quarts water.
    Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, 1 1/2 hours until very tender.
    Drain.
    Meanwhile, make barbecue sauce in medium saucepan.
    Combine all ingredients for sauce and simmer, uncovered, for one hour, stirring occasionally. Arrange ribs on rack in broiler pan, basting frequently with sauce 10 minutes on each side.
