Basic Cornbread Dressing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. crumbled cornbread
1/2 c. dry bread crumbs
2 medium onions, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
salt and pepper
2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
2 eggs, beaten
2 stalks celery, chopped
chicken broth
1/2 tsp. celery salt
Preparation

Saute onions, celery and green peppers.
Soften bread crumbs with chicken broth.
Add sauteed vegetables and eggs.
Stir your dressing until it is smooth.
There is no way to tell if this has the right amount of salt unless you taste it.
You can vary this by adding 1/8 teaspoon Mexican chili powder or Creole seasoning gives it a good flavor.
Chopped parsley is always good.
Heat in 400\u00b0 oven until heated through.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
