Butterscotch Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. brown sugar (1/2 dark, 1/2 light)
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 to 1 c. walnuts, broken up
Preparation
    Sift together the flour and baking powder; set aside.
    Cook butter and sugar over low heat, stirring until bubbly.
    Remove from heat; cool to lukewarm.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well each time.
    Add vanilla.
    Add sifted ingredients and nuts; mix well (the batter will be quite stiff).
    Spread in greased pan. Bake in preheated oven (350\u00b0) for about 25 minutes.
    Cut while still warm.
