Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, broken up
    1 small onion, minced
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    1 can water chestnuts, sliced
    1 pkg. uncooked frozen peas
    2 c. Miracle Whip
    1 1/2 tsp. sugar
    Parmesan cheese (sprinkle)
    4 slices bacon
    several hard-boiled eggs and tomatoes
Preparation
    Arrange in a 9 x 13-inch pan in given order.
    Alternate eggs and tomatoes in rows on top of salad.
    Cover pan tightly and refrigerate 24 hours.
