Fried Drop Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/3 c. flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 tsp. butter
Preparation
    Beat egg until light.
    Add milk, dry ingredients (mixed and sifted) and melted butter.
    Mix well.
    Drop by spoonfuls in hot deep fat (370\u00b0).
    Fry until light brown and cooked through.
    (This can be determined by breaking one apart.)
    Remove with a skimmer and drain on brown paper when done.
