Crystal Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. chopped dates
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Beat sugar lightly into eggs.
    Do not overmix.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Add flour and baking powder; blend.
    Fold in nuts and dates.
    Spread evenly into a greased 8 x 8-inch or 9 x 9-inch pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Cool.
    Cut into bars or sticks; roll in powdered sugar.
    Keeps well; improves with aging.
