Fresh Apple And Pecan Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or oleo
    2 c. sugar
    3 whole eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. mace
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. chopped apples
    2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream oleo and sugar until real creamy.
    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Mix and sift together flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and mace.
    Add gradually to creamed mixture.
    Add vanilla.
    Stir in chopped apple and blend well.
    Add pecans and mix by hand, then spoon into greased tube pan, pressing with hands.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until it springs back when touched.
    Cool in pan before placing on cake plate.
