Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 medium sized cucumbers
    8 c. sugar
    4 c. vinegar
    5 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. whole pickling spices
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers and leave whole.
    Pour boiling water over cucumbers each night for 4 nights.
    On the fifth night, cut up cucumbers and cover with a boiling solution of the rest of the ingredients.
    Let stand for 3 days.
    Then bring all to a boil. Put in hot jars and seal.
