Sour Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 lb. cucumbers
    1 gal. cider vinegar
    1 1/2 c. dry mustard
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. pickling spice
    1 c. pickling salt
    1/4 tsp. alum
Preparation
    Wash cucumbers and let stand 3 to 4 hours in cold water. Boil mixture. Cut up cucumbers and pack in sterilized jars. Pour mixture over cucumbers. Seal.
