Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pkg. Great Northern or dried soup beans
    ham bone and pieces of ham left on bone
    2 stalks celery
    1 onion, chopped fine
    1 can tomatoes, chopped
    salt to taste
    parsley
Preparation
    Add enough water to cover plus 3 inches over.
    Cook about 4 hours.
    Watch in case it needs more water.
    Take ham bone and celery stalks out and skim fat.
    Add tomatoes and parsley. Continue to cook a few more hours.
