Apple Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs, beaten
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. oil
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
    4 c. finely chopped apples
Preparation
    Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla.
    Beat in oil until smooth.
    Sift flour, salt, soda and cinnamon.
    Stir dry ingredients into egg mixture.
    Add nuts and apples; mix well.
    Turn into a greased and floured 11 x 7-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Cool cake in pan or on a wire rack and spread smoothly with lemon cheese icing.
