Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs
    2 sticks butter
    2 tsp. soda (in milk)
    2 c. blackberry jam
    1 pt. pear preserves
    1 c. peach preserves
    1 lb. raisins
    3 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. cinnamon, allspice and vanilla
    2 tsp. cloves and cocoa
    1 1/2 c. nuts (half pecans and half black walnuts)
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter together until creamy.
    Add eggs; add flour alternately with milk and soda.
    Add preserves and spices. Add raisins and nuts last that have been flavored.
    Bake in four 8-inch layer pans in a 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes.
