Pennsylvania Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    4 c. shredded cabbage
    2 c. cubed apple
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 1/4 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    1/2 tsp. caraway seed
Preparation
    Heat drippings in skillet.
    Add remaining ingredients and 1/4 cup water.
    Cook, covered, over low heat.
    Stir occasionally.
    For crisp cabbage, cook 15 minutes.
    For tender, cook 30 minutes. Serves 4 to 5.
