Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. light Karo
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 lb. margarine
    2 c. salted peanuts
Preparation
    Cook the first 4 ingredients in heavy pan.
    Put the peanuts in a 275\u00b0 oven while cooking the other ingredients.
    Bring the sugar mixture to a boil (280\u00b0).
    Add salted peanuts and boil to 305\u00b0.
    Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon of baking soda; mix in well. Pour on greased cookie
    sheet (10 x 13-inch).
    Let set 10 to 15 minutes before removing.
    Wipe brittle off with paper towel. Turn and blot until cool.
    Break into pieces.
