Aunt Bessie'S Brown Sugar-Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. milk (evaporated)
    1 1/3 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add beaten eggs and milk.
    Add sifted flour and baking powder.
    Beat well, then add vanilla and nuts (save some nuts for top).
    Bake in square cake tin in moderate oven for 30 to 40 minutes.
    Ice with buttercream icing.
    Decorate with remaining nuts.
