Mock Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 c. water
    24 plain Hi Ho or Ritz crackers
    cinnamon to taste
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Add first 3 ingredients.
    Bring to a boil.
    Add crackers, sprinkle cinnamon in mixture and stir well.
    Boil about 2 minutes until crackers look clear.
    Pour in pie crust.
    Dot with butter. Add top crust; sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
    Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until crust is brown at 425\u00b0.
