Cheesy Layered Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, shredded
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
    1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled
    2 c. shredded cheese (Swiss or Cheddar)
    1 c. mayonnaise
Preparation
    Put a layer of lettuce in 2 1/2-quart bowl.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper and 1 tablespoon of the sugar.
